Where it all started

THE STORY
NO ONE
TELLS.

It started with a simple frustration. Every college seminar in India was the same — a polished speaker, a prepared deck, 45 minutes of advice nobody asked for, and students leaving with the same unanswered questions they walked in with.

Gajendar had sat through enough of them. He wanted the real conversation. The one where someone admits how many times they failed. The one where a student from a Tier 3 city hears from someone who came from the same place and got somewhere.

So he built it. No funding. No team. Just a Zoom link, a guest, and 45 students who showed up to Episode 1.

By Episode 4, it was 408. Across 186 colleges. In 21 states. Not because of marketing — because the conversation was real and students had been starving for it.

Hype Series went silent for 6 months. That was the honest version. Life happened, the system broke, and everything stopped. But the 893 students who were part of Season 1 never went anywhere. Season 2 is the comeback built on systems, not just energy.

THE PEOPLE
WHO BUILT THIS.

Gajendar Singh Rajput
Founder & CEO
Gajendar Singh Rajput
Founder & CEO · Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu

The one who started with a frustration and turned it into a platform. Built Hype Series from scratch over 3 years — no funding, no playbook, just a belief that Indian students deserved better conversations than the ones they were getting in college seminars.

Operates out of Coimbatore. Handles the vision, the guests, the sponsor relationships, the website, the strategy — and most of the sleepless nights. Hype Series is both his business and his obsession.

"I sat through one too many college seminars where nobody answered the real question. So I built the platform that does."

Co-Founder · North India Operations

The strategic backbone of Hype Series. Believes in taking the platform offline first — into real auditoriums, in front of real students — before everything else. Has a strong conviction that the Campus Edition is what defines Hype Series as a brand.

Manages North India campus relationships, offline episode logistics and the partnership conversations that turn colleges from followers to hosts. The reason Season 1's Episode 1 happened in Jaipur.

North India ops Campus partnerships Offline-first Strategy

"Online gives you reach. Offline gives you memory. We want students to remember Hype Series for years — that only happens when they're in the room."

Sumit Guwalani
Lead Host · Punjab, North India

The energy in every Hype Series episode starts with the host. Based in Punjab, travels across North India for Campus Editions. The person who takes a 60-90 minute conversation between a guest and a room full of students and makes it feel like the most natural, alive thing that's ever happened in that auditorium.

Trained in live hosting, audience engagement and the art of the follow-up question — the one that makes a guest say something they've never said before. The real conversations happen because of how the host asks, not just what the guest says.

Punjab based North India Live events Student energy Q&A facilitation

"Every student in that room has a question they've been afraid to ask. My job is to make the room safe enough for them to ask it — and make the guest honest enough to answer it."

The journey

FROM ZERO
TO MOVEMENT.

2024
The idea
The frustration that started everything
One too many college seminars with polished slides and zero real answers. The idea: what if the conversation was actually two-way? No slides. Real questions. Real answers.
MAY 2025
First episode
Episode 1 — 45 students, one Zoom link, one idea
The first Hype Series episode. 45 registrations. Zero marketing. Just word of mouth and a real guest. The format worked immediately — students stayed for 117 minutes.
JULY 2025
Season 1
EP1 to EP4 — 45 students to 408. 9× growth.
Four episodes. 893 total registrations. 186 colleges. 21 states. 65% Tier 2/3 India. 117 minutes average watch time. Zero paid marketing. Pure organic reach through real value.
NOV 2025
Campus edition
First offline Campus Edition — Jaipur, Rajasthan
Took the format offline for the first time. A live talk show in a real auditorium. The energy was different. Students were more engaged. The Campus Edition model was proven.
JAN 2026
The pause
Six months of silence — and what it taught us
Hype Series went quiet. Not because the idea failed. Because it was built on energy, not systems. The pause was the most important lesson: build a platform, not just a show.
What we stand for

THE PRINCIPLES
WE BUILD BY.

01
Honest over polished
We'd rather a guest say something raw and true than something polished and empty. The moment a conversation feels rehearsed, we've failed.
02
Students first, always
Every decision — guest selection, format, venue, pricing — starts with one question: what's best for the student in the room?
03
Tier 2/3 India is our home
65% of our audience is from colleges that most platforms never reach. That's not a statistic — it's our identity. We were built for them.
04
Build to last
Season 1 taught us that energy isn't a system. Season 2 is built on processes, community and infrastructure that doesn't depend on one person having a good day.
05
Conversation over content
We produce content — but we're not a content company. We're a conversation platform. The clips and reels are the proof. The conversation is the product.
06
Relatable over famous
A 23-year-old SDE from a Tier 2 college is a better guest for our students than a famous CEO. Proximity of journey is what creates connection.
